Abstract
Globalization and the enactment of Law No. 34 of 2003 concerning regional autonomy after national political reform got a positive response from ethnic groups in the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). This condition was then used as a momentum to fight for and construct the identity of the group.
