Abstract
This study aims to examine the background of Hasyim Muzadi's maslahah fiqh paradigm based on the phenomenon of radicalism and terrorism in the name of Islam. By using a descriptive-analysis method, the results of this study suggest that Hasyim Muzadi’s maslahah idea suggests various fields of life
